Child Therapy
Children 4-12
It is not uncommon for children to struggle with feelings, relationships or behavior. All of our clinicians use a child centered model to ensure that therapy matches the child's needs. Children cope with feelings differently than adults, as such child therapy requires specialized training and the ability for a therapist to use a variety of interventions and supports. Our therapists are skilled at creating a strong connection with children and their parents.
Parents play an important role in working with our child clients. Parents are included in treatment planning, and either included in child therapy or provided regular updates.
Our therapists have special training in:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Children
- Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE)
- Play Therapy
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Exposure Response and Prevention Therapy (ERP)
- Attachment Therapy
- Solution Focused Therapy
- Narrative Therapy
- Behavioral Therapy
