Asha Isse
Registered Provisional Psychologist
Asha is accepting clients Thursday evenings and Saturdays.
Asha is a Provisional Psychologist who brings warmth, energy, and genuine care to every client she works with. She has a natural ability to create spaces where people feel truly seen, comfortable enough to be themselves, and supported enough to grow.
Asha works with children (ages 8–12), adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, life transitions, and the lasting impacts of trauma. Her approach is collaborative and strengths-based: rather than focusing solely on what's difficult, she helps clients recognize their own resilience, make meaning of their experiences, and build practical skills they can carry into everyday life.
She holds a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and has provided mental health and psychosocial support across community, clinical, and humanitarian settings. Her experience in high-stress and crisis-affected environments has shaped a practice that is grounded, adaptive, and deeply attuned to the importance of safety, trust, and human connection.
Asha draws on a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Asha thoughtfully tailors her approach to each client's age, goals, and lived experience. Therapy with Asha is intentional and personalized, never one-size-fits-all.
Above all, Asha is committed to ethical, client-centered care. She works transparently within her scope of practice and actively connects clients with additional resources when needed. Her priority is always ensuring each person receives the right support, not just the available support.
Outside of her clinical work, Asha enjoys travel, values the connection and perspective that come from being part of a large family, and brings the teamwork and discipline she developed through playing basketball into the way she approaches both life and her work with clients.
