Understanding Your Child, One Step at a Time

Every child learns, focuses, and grows a little differently — and sometimes it helps to understand exactly how. Whether you're noticing challenges with attention, learning, or school performance, our assessments are designed to give you clear answers and a path forward, delivered with warmth and care every step of the way.

ADHD Assessment

If your child is struggling to focus, sit still, follow through on tasks, or manage big emotions, you're not alone — and you don't have to guess what's going on.

Our ADHD assessments look at the whole picture: attention, behavior, cognitive functioning, emotional regulation, and how your child functions at home and school. We combine standardized testing, parent and teacher input, and time getting to know your child, so the results reflect who they really are — not just a checklist.

What you'll walk away with:

  • A clear, compassionate explanation of your child's strengths and challenges

  • A formal diagnosis (if appropriate) to support school accommodations or next steps

  • Practical, personalized recommendations for home and classroom

  • A safe space to ask every question on your mind

Psychoeducational Assessments

Learning differences can look like a lot of things — trouble reading, math anxiety, difficulty staying organized, or a child who seems bright but isn't showing it on paper. A psychoeducational assessment helps uncover why, so your child can get the right support instead of just working harder at the wrong thing.

We assess cognitive ability, academic skills, social-emotional functioning and more — building a complete picture of how your child learns best.

What you'll walk away with:

  • Insight into your child's unique learning profile

  • Identification of any learning disabilities (such as reading, writing and math)

  • Clear recommendations for school supports.

  • Strategies you can start using right away at home

Giftedness Assessments

Some children learn differently not because something is holding them back, but because they're moving ahead — asking big questions, grasping concepts quickly, or feeling bored and restless in a classroom that isn't quite challenging enough. Giftedness can be just as misunderstood as a learning difficulty, and just as important to identify.

A giftedness assessment helps you understand your child's cognitive strengths in depth — not just "how smart," but how they think, where their abilities are strongest, and what kind of environment will help them thrive.

What you'll walk away with:

  • A thorough picture of your child's cognitive strengths and abilities

  • Eligibility documentation for gifted programs or advanced placement

  • Recommendations for keeping your child engaged, challenged, and emotionally supported

What to Expect

We know assessments can feel like a big step — for you and your child.

Here's how we make it feel manageable:

1.  Initial Consultation — We start with a conversation to understand your concerns and goals.

2.  Testing Sessions — Conducted in a comfortable, low-pressure environment, paced to your child's needs.

3.  Feedback Session — We sit down with you to explain the results in plain language, not jargon.

4.  Written Report — A comprehensive report you can share with schools, pediatricians, or other providers.

5.  Ongoing Support — We're here after the assessment, too — to help you navigate next steps.

Assessment Fees

Each assessment is unique, and the time required to complete a comprehensive evaluation varies depending on the referral question, complexity of concerns, and the information needed to develop a thorough understanding of an individual's strengths and needs.

For this reason, assessments are billed based on clinical time rather than a fixed fee. This approach allows the assessment process to be individualized and tailored to address each client's specific needs.

Rather than requiring the full assessment fee upfront, clients are invoiced throughout the assessment process as services are completed. This provides greater flexibility and allows the cost of the assessment to be distributed over the course of the evaluation.

Assessment rate: $220/hour

In some situations, additional services may be recommended or requested to address needs beyond the scope of the standard assessment process.

If additional services are recommended, the need, estimated time, and associated costs will be discussed in advance.
