Jenna Fleetwood

Jenna sees Clients Tuesdays & Thursdays

Jenna Fleetwood is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who specializes in the treatment of anxiety and caregiver stress.  She works with teens and adults using personalized and evidence-based approaches including exposure and response prevention (ERP), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).  Many people who connect with her practice feel overwhelmed and may be realizing that the ways they have learned to cope are not helping them move forward. Jenna approaches her work with empathy and non judgmental curiosity.  She focuses on helping her clients navigate changing thought, behavior, and emotion patterns while aiding reconnection with what matters most to them.

Jenna completed her Master of Counselling at City University of Seattle in Edmonton. She has specialized training in ERP and general assessment for the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety disorders including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Agoraphobia, and Social Anxiety Disorder. Jenna flexibly integrates clinical counselling approaches to help clients make sense of their experiences and move towards their goals with support and confidence.

Though Jenna works with people from many different backgrounds, she is particularly passionate about supporting parents and caregivers in our community.  Jenna has worked as a care partner support group leader for the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories and has provided therapeutic support to their grief and palliative care program. She also conducted a research study in graduate school that focused on the treatment of maternal burnout. Whether you are a parent, friend or family member of someone managing an illness, or working in a helping profession, she understands the weight you may be carrying. Jenna is passionate about helping caregivers process the influence of their role on their lives and build resilience so they can live well while helping others.

Outside the office Jenna can often be found with her nose tucked into a good book, out for a run with friends, or experimenting with new recipes in her kitchen.
